Our site intends to be a directory of the O'Haras and O'Hara-related web sites. Its focus is the O'Hara name, the O'Hara family and the cultural diversity of the O'Haras. The site came into existence in the late 1990s as the «O'Hara News» being then a system of links and news items. These are now found under the «Categories» of the present site providing cultural, family and professional links.

The site has become increasingly database driven presenting dynamically-generated web pages which list the names, dates and geographical locations of individuals named O'Hara, both past and present. The genealogical interest is reflected in the «Persons», «Messages» and «People» databases. The underlying paradigm of the data presented is Irish ancestry and diffusion throughout the world.
