Beginning as a subcontractor in the manufacture of insert flanges, by 1951 O'Hara Brothers began to manufacture and distribute their own line of insert flanges. In 1955, Stainless Insert Flange Company, SIFCO was formed as a division of O'Hara Brothers Machine Company. In 1971, the company moved from Southwest Philadelphia to its current location in Media, Pennsylvania.
