Intel Ireland names Jim O'Hara as vice president, Technology Manufacturing Group - Jim O'Hara, the current Intel Ireland general manager, has just been appointed vice president, Technology Manufacturing Group, Intel Corporation. Jim took over the role of Intel Ireland general manager in April 2002 and is responsible for Intel's manufacturing operations in Ireland and for the site's strategic direction, management leadership and development, and government and community relations. Mr Fran OHara holds B.E and M.Sc, degrees in Electronic Engineering from University College, Dublin (1985) and Trinity College, Dublin (1990) respectively. With over fourteen years experience Fran has worked with Philips Research Laboratories (Netherlands), Telectronic Pacing Systems (Australia) and Q-SET (Ireland). In 1996 he formed his own company Insight Consulting Ltd which provides Software Process Improvement Services. He has worked with a number of organisations supporting their CMM-based improvement programmes - page of the South Australian Software Engineering Resource Centre of Software Engineering Australia.
Tony O'Hara was appointed (May, 1998) to head up the Bentley Systems, Incorporated (Exton, PA) office in Ireland. Tony brings with him many years experience in the engineering information technology (IT), computer-aided design, geoengineering and GIS markets in Ireland. Before joining Bentley, Tony spent several years as Computing Sales Manager for ESBI Computing, one of Ireland's leading information technology companies. He also held the position of Sales Manager at Intergraph (NASDAQ:INGR) Ireland. Prior to that Tony spent five years as Sales Manager at Paradigm Technology.
