Common Pleas Judge Benjamin Lerner says no one will really knows when it will be safe for 36-year-old George O'Hara to be back on the street. But Lerner earlier ruled that O'Hara -- who suffers from a brain disorder and is mentally retarded -- did not have the intent required for first-degree murder. O'Hara was found guilty but mentally ill of killing his eight-year-old son Rory in April 2002. Haverhill native Kimberly O'Hara recently settled her lawsuit against three doctors and continues to battle her cancer even though her medical treatments no longer are designed to cure her, but simply make her feel a little better.
